First, let me say that I am not very technologically advanced. I may have a computer, but I do now know that much about it. Sure, I am #1 at using it, but some things confuse me.

If you are using a laptop and reading this, I would like you to look and let me know if you see your HDD light (hard drive indicator) on. For my laptop, it is right next to the spot where I plug in the power cord, and adjacent to the power indicator light. It will have a disk drawing above it. Mine does, at least. Is yours on?  Maybe mine has always done this, but I recently noticed it has been flickering, like a lightbulb ready to go out. As I said, I have never looked at it before, so I wouldn't know if this is a new occurrence or old.

Is it expected for a hard drive light to flicker rapidly like this every now and then?

It is usually on solid when the PC is idle enough for the fan to go on.
Thanks for any input to my constant bizarre questions! :D

Idk. I do have a blinking light that always blinks whenever my computer is on but I don't know if that's the hard drive.

I bet that's what it is. It's the only one that can blink, as the power light and AC plug light are always solid.

Yeah. Dunno if that's normal or not but mine does it so I'd guess it is.
