Lonely Sea and SkyShe sails the blue-black tempest waves,
Her masts glow from the moon,
She sails to nowhere, my dear friend,
They call her a messenger of doom.
If you see her in the night,
You're bound to feel some fear
Clasp tight around your very heart,
As the wind's whistling you hear.
Her captain is not with her.
She sails on alone.
She haunts the foamy, velvet waves,
They are her only home.
Her sails once white and clean,
Now are shredded from yon masts.
She looks like she shouldn't sail at all,
Aye, but she is from the past.
She is but a legend, they say.
A myth, she isn't real.
But you see her on that windy night,
And terror you will feel.
She was cursed many years ago.
She has no place to rest.
She courses through the ocean
Through bad weather or the best.
Although she can cause terror,
She is awe-inspiring, to
Life After the Great War~ Chapter 35Chapter 35~
"What did he do wrong? Why are you hurting him?"
Those are the questions Nelson asked as he cuddled against his beat-looking father.
Tempestuous sighed and said "Olympic, regardless of how you may chose to change my thoughts, maybe you are right. Probably the only trait a warship such as myself would pass on would be undesirable. Hence why we're never supposed to breed with merchant ships. Except, when it comes to me, I never should of bred at all, with a merchant vessel, or my own type."
My guilt came crashing down all at once, and I came over closer. I met his amber-hued eyes, and saw a sadness which couldn't be completely hidden. I dropped my gaze, and said "I'm sorry... I'm so terribly sorry."
He replied "I forgive you, but I hope that not every time we meet in the future, I'm going to get the spear of your temper. Because I respe
Glory of the SeaThey plow the fearsome blue-black waves,
Guns aimed at the ready.
The heather blows from Scotland's moors,
So fragrant and so heady.
The sky fills up with heavy clouds,
Rain races down so fine.
Do what we can to protect our lands,
To defend the English line!
The dreadnought and destroyer,
The tempest of the sea,
The battler of our country,
To protect you and me.
Waving from the foremast,
The flags fly of our land,
Faded from the sunlight,
But their message still rings grand.
Long, lithe hulls of blue-grey steel
Sparkle in the noonday sun.
They wear the scars of the wars
Which have been lost and won.
People claim they're just a ship.
Merely a wartime machine.
But without their powerful artillery bursts,
Warfare would be lesser and lean.
They crash through the storms of the summer.
They stand guard in the heat of day.
They don't weary like the mortal man.
Nor do they ask for pay.
Perhaps they are an unsung hero,
Because they are merely just ships.
But I hold them in the highest regard
Life After the Great War~ Chapter 34Chapter 34~
I was awakened by Mama the next morning.
"Britannic! Britannic! Wake up, darling! It's late!" she cried.
I blinked tiredly and asked "What? Late...?"
"Your maiden-voyage!" she exclaimed.
My eyes shot open at that, and I cried "Yes, of course!"
"Are you alright, darling?"
Nelson shot me a knowing look, for he had seen me return from the nighttime escapade with Ireland. I ignored him, and answered "I'm fine, Mama. Just really sleepy."
She met my eyes with her own piercing sapphire-blue ones, and said "Well, if you're sure. It worries me to see someone so young so tired. I'm far older than you, and I still manage to wake up at a decent time."
I sighed and said "I'm okay, Mama. Really."
I received my first passengers in Southampton, then would move on to
Tales from the Vault- Intro and Chapter 1(Author's Note: This following story is actually what I wrote before I came up the finished product for 'Titanic's Forgotten Sister'. I was playing around with ideas, and be warned that this is A LOT different that what the novel really ended up being! I never finished it, so it will end odd, but I don't care. I never will finish it. It is being told by the HMS Dreadnought.)
My day had started off quite capital until they brought Her in. I was quite happy with the current arrangement of all us men, an immediately scorned her. How forward she was to think she could claim a spot among us! Who could she possibly think she was?! I would ask her myself.
When we were abreast of each other, I decided to inspect her in my own way. Outfitted in a disguising pant motif, she looked like she belonged in a regular circus with all her stripes and whirls. Beside this, she was the owner of 4 immense smoke stacks, with steam drifting from the first three. Her long body

A NEW CHAPTER IN LIFE, AND ALSO SOMEONE TO LOVE
Reflecting on it makes me realize how lucky I was to have Olympic and Tempestuous for my parents. No one's relationships were perfect, heaven knows my mother had gotten so angry, she had done a number to my father, but that was the only time they ever fought. Despite my father's infamous temper, he never once raised his voice at a lady. Seeing them both, one would never think they were a pair. That's why I thought their union was possibly the most beautiful I would ever see. My mother, an elegant liner, the cream-of-the-crop for White Star Line with a warship. If I thought someone was ugly, family or not, they were ugly. Not so with my father. I could see what had won my mama over with him. He was attractive in many ways, not just in looks. I don't think I ever met any other male as gentle and golden as him. Not up to his standard.
He and my mother joined in a long and af

A MAIDEN VOYAGE
A few hours later, I was shocked to see Thomas Bell. Wilhelm had woken up from her sleep by now, and exclaimed "I didn't think I'd see you for quite awhile after all the work getting my guy fixed up."
He smiled, extended his hand to pet her, and replied "I had no reason to stay. I came back a couple days ago. How are you feeling, ol' girl?"
She sighed and said "I'm tired, but then, since when was creating new lives not tiring?"
"Blame me." I interjected.
Wilhelm nuzzled me and said "I wouldn't do that."
"Well, it is my fault." I replied.
Thomas stroked her bow, then reached over to me. I accepted a few pats before Hood woke up.
Thomas grinned and said "Hi, Hood. Did you have a nice day?"
He yawned and answered "Yeah, I did. Daddy took me half way around Scapa Flow, and I

BACK HOME AGAIN
Whether Hood fully accepted me or not, I don't know, but at least his response behavior was better than the previous day. I kept a firm watch over him while he ate his half of the fish. Wilhelm slowly approached me and asked "Aren't you hungry?"
I straightened myself up even stiffer to take some weight off of my bent up keel, and replied "I'm alright. Just save me the skeleton. I'll eat it."
"That can't be satisfying." she countered.
"It suits me alright."
She gave me a pitying look and said in reply "You're a strange one, Tempestuous."
After the fish was finished, Hood came up to me, and said "If you're really my daddy, you would take me on a sail around Scapa Flow."
I offered him a smile and answered "Of course I'll take you."
He grinned and raced to my side. I leaned forward to kiss Wil
FAQ and Little Known Facts on My StoriesAlthough I haven't been asked the majority of the below questions, I am sure some of you have thought them up, so whoever has, find your answer below. These questions and facts are in regards to my two stories, 'Titanic's Forgotten Sister', and 'Life After the Great War'.
001: Are these stories Fact or Fiction?
They are based on some true facts regarding the era and the ocean-liners, but when all is said and done, they qualify as complete and utter fiction. All they really are is just an entertaining story book.
002: Is the HMS TEMPESTUOUS a real ship?
No, he is not, though I sure wish he was! He is a product of my imagination, my dearly beloved OC.
003: Is there any particular reason the aforesaid warship is the Commander of the Royal British Navy?
No, not really. Well, okay, there is. I've always admired men of high military positions, and so gained that much more respect and love for my character by m
Representation: Damned either way
(Disclaimer: The following post concerns discussion of progressivism in video games or other forms of media and may be considered “Social Justice Warrior”. If you do not feel comfortable reading about such things, it is recommended that you read something else.
Also, don’t take anything I say too seriously. I’m the guy who liked all the Bayformer films, Sucker Punch, Green Lantern and the Mass Effect 3 ending.)
Representation: Damned if you do Damned if you don’t
What I’m about to say is very controversial. It may unintentionally push the wrong buttons, offend some people and phrase things the wrong way. If that happens, know that it wasn’t intentional and I apologize in advance. Feel free to call me out if I cross a line or two. Also, be aware that this post may contain logical fallacies and even strawmen. Okay? Okay.
So, when it comes to representation in mass-media, the issue of diversity has become a hot button topic and point
RE: 'What People Are Doing By Being Anti-Feminist'First off, why the hell is that piece under "Historical" in the Non-Fiction category? There's nothing even remotely historical about anything on that list. You're just voicing your opinion, so it should be under "Editorial." Second, it is your opinion because you don't give any damn sources for any of those on the list. So I'm going to leave some of those alone and voice my rebuttal/counter-opinion on the ones that are my favorites:
Dimissing that cat-calling is still an issue.*dismissing
Someone be honest with me here. Is it really that fucking hard to just keep walking away and ignoring the shitheads? Because I admit, I've never been cat-called, despite the fact that I've been given compliments by a few guys about how I look. And those aren't sexual harassment, those are legit compliments. I may be self-conscious and have a bit of low self-esteem issues, but I know a compliment when I hear it because they just make me want to run and hide. After being criticized
The YouTube Hater Dilemma So, I happened to be scrolling through the comments section on SkyDoesMinecraft's latest Cops and Robbers video (hysterical, as usual). As I was reading through the comments, I came across A LOT of comments either hating on Sky because, well, they want to hate on him, or were complaining about how his channel isn't what THEY wanted it to be, that it was too different from what they were used to.
I decided to go check out another channel, to see what they had uploaded today.
After watching the videos I didn't get to watch until that point, I went through the comments sections.
The same thing as Sky's channel. People complaining, hating, and (sighs) filling the place with comments that had NOTHING to do with the video.
I'm not just talking about Sky's channel. I'm talking about a lot of peoples' channels.
Here recently, I've been noticing a huge increase in the amount of hate people are leaving in the com

Deep Cliff #46 Bang Bang by Jessie J
Music Review: Bang Bang by Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Manaj
Hello and welcome to yet another Deep Cliff, where I listen to your questions and bring you in depth answers. I want it to be known that I love music. I think that music is art that can be heard rather than seen. It’s expression…it carries a message. I have always had a great love for music, and while I may not like all genres…all music appeals to someone, and thus I can’t be a total hater. With that in mind…there are some songs that become sinfully famous. And when I say sinfully famous, I mean these are songs that are essentially trash…but manage to become quite popular. Case and point: Bang Bang by Jessie J, featuring Ariana Grande and rapper Nicki Manaj.
Bang Bang was released in July of 2014 and is featured on Jessie J’s new album “Sweet Talker.” This song did commercially well in America and reached Billboards top 100, peaking at number three at first
Super Mario Bros. 3 - An Overrated Classic? If you ask the average Mario fan what the top three games are, he/she will probably mention Super Mario World and Super Mario 64 and conclude that Super Mario Bros. 3 is the greatest game in the series. It is an NES classic to be sure -- it was revolutionary in 1990. It's still fun to this day!
On the other side of the coin, Mario fans tend to criticize the New Super Mario Bros. series, citing all five games as being identical. First of all, that's extremely unfair to the first NSMB for Nintendo DS. That one is brimming with features and details that didn't carry over to the rest of the NSMB series: Original bosses, SM64 elements, a competitive 1-on-1 mode, and a slew of competitive mini-games for 4-player mayhem. Secondly, when you seriously think about and compare them, aren't SMB3 and NSMB cut from the exact same cloth?
*NOTE: From here on out, NSMB will refer to the series as a whole, no
Top 30 Fictional Good Guys #20 - ElsaYeah yeah, she's currently Disney's most popular heroine. Some people say Frozen's just a fad, but I think Elsa has staying power and will go down in history as one of Disney's great characters.
Why, you ask?
Well for one thing, she offers a very interesting perspective on having supernatural powers. Sure, we have no shortage of angsty superheroes, but most of the time their powers are still portrayed as the coolest thing ever and their angst comes more from their responsibility of protecting people than their powers themselves. Elsa's powers, on the other hand, are more of a curse than a blessing. While her power is awesome, she can't control it, which results in danger for those around her. At the beginning of the movie, a charming playtime between two children turns into a tragedy when Elsa accidentally strikes Anna's head with ice and almost kills her, which immediately shows us the struggle to come.
Elsa's struggle has been called a metaphor for everything from mental disorders to

Any Thoughts? First, let me say that I am not very technologically advanced. I may have a computer, but I do now know that much about it. Sure, I am #1 at using it, but some things confuse me.
If you are using a laptop and reading this, I would like you to look and let me know if you see your HDD light (hard drive indicator) on. For my laptop, it is right next to the spot where I plug in the power cord, and adjacent to the power indicator light. It will have a disk drawing above it. Mine does, at least. Is yours on? Maybe mine has always done this, but I recently noticed it has been flickering, like a lightbulb ready to go out. As I said, I have never looked at it before, so I wouldn't know if this is a new occurrence or old.
Is it expected for a hard drive light to flicker rapidly like this every now and then?
It is usually on solid when the PC is idle enough for the fan to go on.
